The Situation

Eastward Partners is a retained executive-search and human-capital advisory firm in New York. They serve private equity, corporate finance, and professional-services clients.

The company relied on QuickBooks for accounting while Sales and CS worked entirely in HubSpot. This created operational friction and prevented GTM teams from making financially informed decisions.

The Problem

1) Siloed financial data

Accounting lived in QuickBooks with no visibility for Sales or CS, so teams didn’t know if customers had unpaid invoices before renewal conversations.

2) Manual, slow invoicing

Finance had to re-enter deal and customer information from HubSpot into QuickBooks manually, slowing operations and increasing errors.

3) No forecasting visibility

Ops had no clear idea of expected success fees or invoices required each month.

We surfaced QuickBooks data in HubSpot so Sales can immediately see:

  • Which customers have outstanding invoices

  • What has been billed

  • What remains unpaid

This supports smarter renewal and upsell conversations.

3) Monthly billing & success-fee reporting

We built reports showing:

  • Which invoices need to be created each month

  • Expected success fees per client per month

  • Open, overdue, and paid invoices

Finance finally has proactive visibility instead of reactive administration.
